All those years
the traumatic story so far
Posttraumatic Stress Disorder [PTSD]:
Complex health condition that can develop in response to a traumatic experience – a life-threatening or extremely distressing situation that causes a person to feel intense fear, horror or a sense of helplessness. PTSD can cause severe problems at home or at work. Anyone can develop PTSD – men, women, children, young and old alike. Some say PTSD is treatable – we say it is not !!!
[PTSD] started in 2003 with
P. Samuel Disorder
Robby Vanderborg
Vincent von Hopfgarten
James Schmidt
Those were the days all sensitive natures had to be warned: [PTSD] didn’t have their name for nothing. After all God in his golden shoes got much too old to understand the modern world. Narrow-minded moralists and people with blinkers were left behind in the ditch. The four boys from Berlin / Germany didn’t just break the facades. They also damaged the isolation and so reached the most inner point of pain. Pseudo-psychotic superficialty were nothing but a flat joke when the death of a loved person could only be prevented by your own death. Uncompromisingly open and giving musical boundaries the middle finger, [PTSD] tokk the breath of all those who lost the capability of analyzation.
All others leaned back in pleasure and said: »Well, that’s just the way the world is turning.«
In 2005 the debut »November 31st« was released and remarkably reached high charts positions first of all outside of Germany. The album entered Independent-TOP40 in Canada, the US, France, Great Britain, Argentina, Brasil, South Korea and Japan.
After two years of touring around the world the band disappeared in darkness. No more sign of life, no more release but also never an official split up note. [PTSD] seemed to be history… until June 2019.
[PTSD] changed and expanded their line-up. Still Berlin based Posttraumatic Stress Disorder now bring together musicians from Germany, Canada, New Zealand, Italy, Austria and Norway.
[PTSD] are now:
P. Samuel Disorder – vocals
Fred Matthews – lead guitars
Lisa Jerusalem – rhythm guitars
